FLASH SALE - everything priced to go ....

It has been a shit 2 weeks at Mum's bedside - no getting better just worst!

16/9

Sadly, we lost mum on Friday 6th September 2024 after her brave and difficult struggle to go on.   It has been the worst time of my life and I am lost ... This is not the news I wanted to tell you as I thought she was coming home

I want to thank you all for your support and best wishes during this horrible time and thank you for your patience and understanding for delay in sending your orders.

She loved meeting everyone of you at Craft Shows around Australia, talking to anyone that called her for help with there embroidery.  She was amazing - make anything had an amazing idea for colour, created the most amazing patchwork quilts, before she got into embroidery - she has made so many!  Every stitch i remember her making them.

Thank you to all of you.

In loving memory of Mum  - Denise May  25.11.1937 - 6.9.2024

NOW  is just how much time do we have left .... it's been 5 days and not good

as you will see - Mum loved every product - that is why it ended up here!

Mum has so much stuff - all good and just never got to use it - nor will she .. so it's time to make it gone as when the worst comes - I am not going to want to have to deal with anything  - we cannot deal with what we are going through now either which the bombshell dropped on Friday! ...

It will be boxes of Fabric Stabilizer Thread Lace embellishments all good - some is on the website the bulk is mum's personal stash - more than double of whats on our website not on the website.

It all started around 1965 when Mum had a daughter and sewing became a hobby which grew and grew.

In 1970 mum opened Little Dapper Fashions making outfits for TV 7 & 9 - Dancers - designed uniforms for my Primary School and dressed most of the kids in The Gap along with making all my clothes till I was 36!

The business grew and so did Dad’s Company – Quantum Scientific, so little Dapper fashions closed and Mum & Dad worked together till 1990 when we lost Dad.  In 1996 Mum remarried – joined a patchwork class came home to do homework – 1 block which in a week turned into a quilt – 13 week course – 24 quilts made for homework – loved it.   Lots of fabric bought to cut into tiny pieces and sew it all back together!  She entered a Competition and won an embroidery machine – well that turned into designs, threads, stabilizers etc etc – In 2007 EME was born.  Quilts, Embroidery, Fabric, Stabilizers, Threads etc etc etc …. Now we have it all and more than MUM will ever use.

Terrible News this week – a bombshell was delivered to us!

And so it’s all going -  MUM’s STASH of everything - she wants it to go to good use and not just dumped.

She has had a brilliant time creating all the QUILTS we’ve displayed at shows – over 27 suitcases full!

I am loosing my shit here crying as this is the worst news and no idea that what I can do to help her get through the next week … month… or days.

All I know is that I will drop my bundle ….. which I know I am doing now – as this is the worst not knowing and not being able to do anything – I kept her home safe from COVID since March 2020 – she’s only been out 3 times and that was for the injection –  We didn’t get COVID and shit still happens.

So Here it is   Everything on our website is on sale at cost or below cost – when it’s gone its gone!

GONE … crap I love this stuff but I won’t cope when Mum is gone and all her love of sewing and us sewing together for the past 17 years will also be gone.

I lost my dad in 1990 in an instant One gasp.   I lost myself in 2001 3 times but Dad sent me back to be with Mum and help her – so here I am.  In 1996 we lost Phil my step-dad – he was awesome and then EME began to keep Mum occupied in her time of grief as well.   Life is really crap some days but you have to keep pushing yourself on …. Each day  Every day  Mum came to all the Craft Shows we did – she had a ball.  Loved meeting ladies that were interested in sewing, talking, helping them too.   All the lovely ladies that also keep in touch or ask about her when they call – Thank you.

So it’s time to pack up this stuff – it’s all good – it just didn’t get made into anything – I told her with all the stuff she has she needs to live to 300 !   and now we don’t have that  - we don’t know anything but I do know that if she is not here – I won’t want to do anything as it is Mum and that would be a waste – even the scraps she will cut them into 2” squares and put them aside for one day – they’ll come in handy!

I don't have time to take photo's of what's in the boxes - but trust me if your not happy - you can let me know.   If you are happy, great  one day you can show me what you make.   Thank you for your support.

If you can, please use the option - Pay to Bank - then everyone else won't take half the fees that get taken when you pay with any other method.  Your choice and Thank you for you support - Past & Present  -  All our Love EME  Take care and stay safe.

Don't know when we will ship as spending every moment possible at hospital and its getting worse not better
