THE ORIGINAL BLUE QUILT - THAT WENT OUT TO BE SPECIALLY QUILTED AS IT WAS TOO BIG FOR MUM TO HANDLE - PAYING $1500 BUT MADE IT LOOK FANTASTIC - THEN WE DID IT ALL IN THE HOOP AS NOT EVERYONE WANTS TO SEND IT OFF FOR QUILTING - SO THERE ARE LOTS OF WAYS TO MAKE IT AND EVEN MORE OPTIONS FOR THE COLOUR WAYS - UNFORTUNATELY NOW YOU JUST CANNOT ASK MUM FOR ADVICE ON HOW TOO.... EME Andre's Vienna Blue Collection
A Floral Centrepiece was our main focus for this collection.
Our centrepiece is created in 5 hoopings and to feature in our quilt - sewn on point. We surrounded the centre with a collection of flowers, birds and swirls and fabric blocks and borders to make a Queen/King Quilt – showing off the border fabric and the designs.
Our original Quilt “Andre’s Vienna Blue” was designed to use this gorgeous Blue fabric and border print so Mum made it in the traditional patchwork way. Looks amazing, then we sent it off to be quilted.
Great if you have your own long-arm, a bit pricey if you don’t, and quite difficult to make if you are not a patchworker!
Thinking about the difficulty of the original quilt - led me to create “Andrés Vienna Blue – In Teal”.
Each block is created in the hoop using Floriani No Show Nylon MeshY DESIGNS, Floriani Heat N Sta Fleece, 1 layer of fabric then stitch the design – giving you a finished quilt block. Make up your blocks, sashings, cornerstones and stitch them all together – add the backing and the binding and your done. Fast Fun & Easy – Which is what we love!
From these quilt blocks you can create ANY size quilt you desire – Single, Queen, King, even table runners. The options are limitless.
Suitable for Machine Embroidery enthusiasts with larger hoops. Designs fit 200 x 200mm (8"x 8") and larger.
