These tile scenes celebrate the era that gave us so many Christmas traditions that we still practice today. Decorating the tree with tinsel, lights, and bits and baubles, then topping it off with a beautiful tree topper can be attributed to Queen Victoria and her husband, Prince Albert. Christmas carols were a tradition that was revived and made popular by the Victorians, and the Christmas feast of a roast turkey became a staple on the Christmas feast menu. Even that act of gift giving is thanks to the Victorians, who moved the tradition from the start of the New Year to Christmas day!
