Consisting of standard appliqué and a mix of satin and fill stitches, Animal Tribe is full of interesting geometric details, pops of color, and a variety of textures. We drew inspiration from the earth tones of the natural landscape in the American Southwest. For our limited color palette, we incorporated colors like burnt orange, tan, dark brown, and mustard yellow throughout the designs. For texture, we opted for solid cottons as well as felts and flannel within the appliqué areas of the animals. To add even more visual interest, we used special digitizing techniques to make unique patterns appear within the fill stitch embroidery areas. These animal designs are sew versatile and would look striking on the back of a jean jacket, on a set of outdoor pillows, or even framed as art!
