Last year we created two collections that combined embroidery with quilting techniques, Harvest Quilt and Spring Quilt. Those collections combined multiple types of embroidery designs with quilting techniques. The Christmas Quilt collection is slightly different. Each block includes an embroidered element and crazy quilt piecing. This collection has five different themes: a bell, holly, poinsettia, star and Christmas tree. Each of those elements is done three different ways, stitched, appliqué, and a homespun appliqué. There are also stitched individual designs that were used to embellish the napkins. We even carried the theme even further by creating some pot-holders to match the placemat and napkins.
